Tennis elbow is a condition caused by inflammation of the tendons on the exterior (lateral side) of the elbow at a bony importance (lateral epicondyle) of the higher arm. Certain repetitive movements of the wrist can cause this condition. It is not limited to tennis players. Tennis elbow can occur with any movement that involves repetitive engrossing, turning, bending, or extending the wrist backwards. Another general term, "golfer's elbow," refers to the same procedure occurring on the interior of the elbow what your doctor can call medial epicondylitis. Tennis elbow refers to a degenerative or traumatic tear of these tendon origins at their attachment to the bone, causing pain on the exterior of the elbow. 3. Pain that gets worse over weeks or months.
4. Soreness in the forearm.

Treatment of Tennis Elbow

1. Physiotherapy treatments, which can include warmth or ultrasound therapy.
2. Use of anti inflammatory drugs and common pain killers (analgesics).
3. Rest helps, with avoidance of the activities which over use the elbow.
4. Your physician can suggest an injection of a small dosage of steroid to the affected area. This is not the type of steroid banned for athletes. If used it can last for up to three months, and although it can require to be repeated you rarely need more than two or probably three injections.
5. Take over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen or naproxen (NSAIDs) or acetaminophen if you require them.

Home Remedies for Tennis Elbow

1. Certain medicated oils (as in Ayurveda mahanarayana tail) is said to be beneficial and consequently, used as natural treatment for tennis elbow. The massage is to be suitably complete with an experience hands.

6. Milk, eggs and cheese all are good source of vitamins and minerals that your body lacks during tennis elbow. Consequently include them in your daily diet.
7. Celery is another excellent home remedy for rheumatism and tennis elbow. The fluids can be extracted from the seeds and have it with tepid water just before meals. You should put 5-10 drops of liquid into water.
